(November 7, 2025) Guardians of Time, the first London solo exhibition of artist Jiang Qiong Er, grandly opened at Waddington Custot—one of the most influential contemporary art galleries in the UK. Building on her recent artistic endeavors showcased at the Musée Guimet (National Museum of Asian Arts) in France and UNESCO, this exhibition takes time as its narrative language and shared human spiritual values as its coordinate, presenting her latest artistic creations.
Guardians of Time originated from a major cultural project launched during the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and France and the 2024 Paris Summer Olympics. Invited by the Musée Guimet, Jiang Qiong Er created a large-scale "Art of Coexistence" installation and a series of works titled Guardians of Time, dedicated to the contemporary human civilization.
The exhibition features multiple art series, including the encaustic painting series XII Calls evolved from her 2024 bronze sculpture series, the brand-new secret treasure box series Her Voice, and the bamboo filament inlay art series Whispering Clouds, among other key collections.
